Blue Ridge Parkway
Running for 469 miles through Virginia and North Carolina, this historic parkway is an amazing driving tour.
DuPont State Forest
Formerly owned by DuPont. The entire watershed was preserved for it's water purity for making X-ray film. Then an executive retreat (and used to film Last of the Mohicans and Hunger Games) the valley has become a mountain biking heaven
Gettysburg National Military Park
Site of the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, this park has preserved these remnats of the civil war
Great Smokey Mountains National Park
A quick stop during our trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway. The park was not really open yet for the season.
