La Conte Glacier Bay
LeConte Glacier is the southernmost tidewater glacier of the Northern Hemisphere. The bay is over 800 feet deep, yet the terminal moraine is only about 40 feet below the surface at low tide. Thus icebergs get trapped in the bay and ground during low tide.
